Okay, so what is going on here? First, even though I do like orange, the orange star just clashes with the rest of the UI. Secondly, the term "core" implies a low standard, low tier, etc. What did "premium" imply? Greatness. Coolness. Access to the 75% of this site's functionality that is behind a freaking paywall.
And the new prices, DEAR LORD if you are going to do that, why not at least make it tiered? Or at least make up for it by making journal skins and page customization free for everyone.

Okay actually, this isn't too bad. Should be given a chance. But I do realize that there are some differences in the paradigms that will throw people off. It does feel like DA has succumb to the "not as much room for customization" trend that other social networks use. At the same time, the old version of the site was starting to become quite dated and had never really been updated; the last major change to the site's look and feel was in 2008, and god only knows how much of the code was unchanged from when v6 was introduced. But things I don't really like/think should be added: Too much hiding things! Trying to bury our profiles under read more buttons to slow things down, among other things. Green theme has some poor color contrast. Maybe do the shades more like the actual old theme? The designs of headings for journals/etc. seem to really be pushing us to use covers. What if we don't want to? Perhaps it should shrink the top down to compensate, or let us pick some preset ones
