Obscurus Noctis is a techno producer who is able to transport listeners into her own worlds ... literally. He is capable of using unicorn magic in a convoluted manner to trap others in what she calls a “mental reality” or “projection”. comparable to an Oculus Rift or the like. Obscurus calls Mareami her hometown, but has a secondary presence in Seaddle, home of her techno record label Clausula. She runs it with several of her friends from the city, including long-time partner Eight Track, and several new ponies she met in Seaddle proper.
She was attracted to the city after hearing that up-and-coming acts were getting their big breaks there. However, she struggled in comparison to the mainstream, "EDM" acts. She has been highly critical of them, arguing that they do not sufficiently consider music to be an "art", and think of it more as a popularity contest. Her suspicions were confirmed when she received an university research report authored by a friend of the label's newest member, Wave Rider. As an experiment, she hired the author of the report - a unicorn named Train Spot, and set up a secondary label known as Railyard to release EDM music produced specifically to confirm their suspicions. It worked.
These events led her to declare "war" on mainstream dance music; Obscurus and her labelmates began to participate in a conspiracy to “dismantle” and “expose” the alleged “corruptions” in the EDM fanbase and industry, whilst rising to the top from a musical standpoint too, of course. Among her most signifigant plots was Operation Aeternum Obscurum, a plot to use her mental reality powers to trap "EDM fanmares" in a world where it is always night, and its residents are brainwashed into liking her music "("...nowadays, you can pay someone to get your song to the top of the DanceDance top 50 overnight. I prefer the brainwashing method, though. It’s cheaper, and leaves a lasting impression.”). However, her plans were subverted by the actions of a yellow earth stallion who happened to be pulling double duty as both a raver and a lighting crew member, and had apparently been stalking her in an attempt to expose her plans. He also helped Obscurus realize that her powers weren't as strong as she thought they were.
The pony may have escaped, but Obscurus is still plotting to take action on the ponies she hates. She has plotted to visit a mysterious event in the desert known as The Gathering...

Personality
Obscurus has a medium-length temper, and is an intelligent snarker. She does not always realize the limitations of the powers or equipment she uses, meaning that she might boast about planning to do something without actually being able to do it at the level she said she would. But she is persistent: when she does realize her limits, she is intelligent enough to find ways to work around them. She often goes into long tirades on things she dislikes, and is also quite argumentative. However, she is also adventurous, and willing to take risks.
Otherwise, she's sly and shows quite a bit of ambition and determination.
